Craig Bellamy reckons Celtic should’ve taken the money and run for Dedryck Boyata.

Craig Bellamy has told Sky Sports that Dedryck Boyata is nothing more than a “decent” defender and Celtic should’ve taken the money and run when they had the chance.
According to The Times, Celtic turned down a £9 million bid for the Belgium international from Fulham before the transfer window closed for Premier League clubs last week.
The 27-year-old looks set to leave Parkhead this summer after reportedly refusing to play for the Hoops in their Champions League defeat by AEK Athens on Tuesday.
Boyata has less than a year to go on his contract at Parkhead and Celtic have lost a position of power since it emerged that he wants to leave Glasgow.
Bellamy played alongside a young Boyata at Manchester City once upon a time, and the former Wales international – who had a spell with the Bhoys toward the end of his playing career – reckons that his old side should have sold up when that sort of money was available.
“£9million, I would’ve taken it. Look, he’s a decent player, that’s about it for me. When he was coming through Man City I got to see his development,” he told Sky Sports.
“I think that’s £9million I would’ve taken. Because he’s publicly come out now, you’re going to have to move on now from this situation.
“The only way you can move on, due to the hangover of not getting into the Champions League is going to be left with the Celtic fans, you might have to move him on.”
