West Ham United spent big in the summer, and Manuel Pellegrini’s side are just hitting form.

Craig Bellamy has confidently predicted that West Ham United won’t be making expensive signings in the January transfer window on The Debate, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 27th December.

West Ham spent big in the summer, and they are reaping the rewards now.

Manuel Pellegrini appears to have brought in a group of very talented players at the London Stadium, with West Ham’s form improving dramatically recently.

West Ham have now won five of their last six games, but Bellamy doesn’t believe their good run of form will encourage another big spend next month.

He said: “I definitely don’t see them going again in January. Where are they going to go? What’s realistic for West Ham?

“If they are around 10th to seventh that’s realistic to where they are. Why would you spend any more money? The others are too far ahead of you.”

Manuel Pellegrini the head coach

West Ham’s latest victory came against Southampton last night, with Pellegrini’s side running out 2-1 winners.

The Saints had taken the lead, but West Ham hit back through two goals from Felipe Anderson.

The Hammers have now taken themselves away from danger and into ninth place in the Premier League table.

West Ham’s next match comes against struggling Burnley on Sunday.
