West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini was quick to snap up Jack Wilshere this summer.
Wilshere was added to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad earlier this summer, after his contract at Arsenal expired.
The signing has excited the London Stadium crowd, but Bellamy seems to have concerns over the addition.
The former West Ham front man fears that the Hammers’ poor record with keeping players fit could be a concern for Wilshere, as he has struggled to stay off the treatment table throughout his career.
“I’m always concerned with his injuries, I really feel for him,” Bellamy said.
“I think there must be a problem there somewhere and I’m petrified that West Ham don’t have a great record with injured players.
“Then it changes because if he’s fit he’ll be a brilliant player for West Ham.
“But my concern is him staying fit and being able to play for West Ham.”
Wilshere actually stayed fit for most of last campaign at Arsenal, but he does have a worrying track record of picking up injuries.
West Ham already have Winston Reid and Andy Carroll, who are among the most injury prone players in the Premier League, in their squad.
Wilshere is expected to be a starter for the Hammers when he is fit, and should bring quality to Pellegrini’s midfield ranks.
