Craig Bellamy has told Sky Sports, during their live coverage of West Ham United’s match against Arsenal, that every pundit watching the game couldn’t believe what Arthur Masuaku did on the first goal.

Masuaku was positioned to defend Joe Hart’s near post, but for some reason he stood outside of the goal, which allowed Nacho Monreal to open the scoring.

It was a bizarre error for the left-back to make, and Bellamy admitted that he and his fellow Sky Sports pundits were all baffled.

“We just couldn’t believe it. If you’re on the post stand inside it and defend the goal at all costs,” Bellamy raged. “Alright, maybe Joe Hart could have done better, but the man on the post has to do better.”

West Ham went on to lose the game 4-1, but things could have been so much better for David Moyes’ men.

The Hammers hit back through Marko Arnautovic to bring the scores level, and looked a threat.

However, Declan Rice made an error which allowed Aaron Ramsey to score his side’s second and then Arsenal never looked back.

The Gunners scored two further goals through Alexandre Lacazette to complete the triumph.

West Ham are now six points clear of the drop zone, with just four matches left to play this term.
