Tottenham Hotspur are set to play their home matches at Wembley over the coming campaign.
Tottenham have moved away from White Hart Lane and to the national stadium, as they wait for their new ground to get built.
Many pundits have expressed great concerns that Spurs’ home form will suffer as a result of their switch to Wembley.
However, Bellamy believes that Tottenham could actually benefit from their move to a new stadium.
“I look at the way this Spurs team and a bigger pitch could suit them,” the former Welsh international forward said. “They have energy all over the park.
“They have to deal with it and they have the players that can cope with it.
“Spurs are lucky, they have it for their home. They are one of the teams that I wouldn’t want to play on a big pitch against.”
Tottenham had the best home record of any team in the Premier League last term, and will be relying on their results in front of their supporters staying positive this time around.
Spurs’ record at Wembley in recent times is not particularly impressive, but they did overcome Juventus at their new home in an encouraging pre-season friendly display.
Spurs kick off their campaign on Sunday, with a match against newly promoted Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
