Former Celtic striker Craig Beattie played with Scott Sinclair at Swansea City.

Sinclair is struggling at the moment, and the performances of the former Chelsea and Manchester City so far this season have not been great.
The 29-year-old winger – has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Aston Villa for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £3 million – is not guaranteed a place in manager Brendan Rodgers’s starting lineup.
Beattie, who started his professional club football career at Celtic and played with Sinclair at Swansea, has backed the English winger to recover his form.
The Elgin City striker has also compared the situation of the 29-year-old winger – who earns £25,000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Star – to that of Salah at Liverpool.
The 26-year-old Egypt international winger – who earns £200,000 per week as salary, according to The Express – was superb for Liverpool last season, but the former Chelsea man’s performance level for the Reds has dipped somewhat this campaign.

Beattie told The Scottish Sun about Sinclair: “He was Celtic’s top scorer with 17 goals last season, for a guy apparently off form it’s not a bad return. It hasn’t really happened for him so far this season, but who is to say it won’t?
“Will Mo Salah hit the same standard as last season? Probably not, but does that all of a sudden make him a bad player?
“I am certain there will be a little spark, or a moment in a game when Scott does something brilliant and it sets him up on a good run of form.”
