Leeds United fans on Twitter are loving a transfer story involving Ryan Edmondson.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Aberdeen are set to sign the 19-year-old United striker on a half-season loan until January.
Edmondson is a heavy scorer for Leeds at Under-23 level but he needs to start playing senior football on a weekly basis.
The youngster is known to Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa, but he hasn’t played him since September of 2018.
But with Leeds now in the Premier League, there would’ve been no hope of any first-team chances under the Argentine next season and therefore a loan makes perfect sense.
Edmondson, who is also set to sign a new deal in West Yorkshire, is a big talent at Thorp Arch and here’s how fans of the Elland Road club reacted to him potentially heading up North.
Aberdeen kick off their Premiership campaign against Rangers tomorrow but it remains to be seen whether Edmondson will be eligible for the debut.
A good loan up there could do wonders for him and it’ll be fascinating to see how he fares.
