Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez has praised Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli on Instagram for his performance against West Ham United on Boxing Day.
Martinez, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, has described Arsenal and Brazil international forward Martinelli as a “crack”, which means ‘ace’.
Arsenal won the London derby against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium 3-1.
Martinelli scored for the Gunners in the 58th minute of the Premier League game.
The 21-year-old forward, who played for Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, also came close on a couple of other occasions.
And former Arsenal goalkeeper Martinez, now at Villa, was impressed.

Gabriel Martinelli is one of the best young players around, and the importance of the Brazil international in the Arsenal team cannot be undermined at all.
Martinelli has made himself a regular on the left of a front-three for Arsenal and starts when he is fit and available.
For Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season, the youngster will have to maintain his current high levels throughout.
