Some Liverpool fans on social media have been voicing their displeasure about the fact the team refused to wear the t-shirts condemning the European Super League.
Of course, Liverpool were unlikely to ever wear such shirts. After all, they’re one of the founding members of the European Super League, so protesting against something they’re actively involved in would make very little sense.
However, the feeling amongst the fanbase is that the team should be doing something to try and stop these ridiculous plans, and the supporters weren’t happy with the squad’s decision to not wear the shirts.
Jurgen Klopp explained why his players didn’t wear the anti-Super League garments, claiming that the players have nothing to do with it, which is a fair point.
However, if change is going to happen, players may have to be front and centre, so we can understand why some fans can’t get on board with Klopp’s view.
