The 21-year-old’s loan deal from Pompey to the Sky Blues has been made permanent. Here is what some Coventry fans have made of the signing.

Coventry City have confirmed that striker Conor Chaplin has joined the club permanently from Portsmouth.
The 21-year-old swapped Fratton Park for the Ricoh Arena on a deadline day loan deal in August 2018 with a view to a permanent switch in January.
Chaplin’s stint at Coventry has so far yielded him five goals and three assists in 21 appearances, according to Transfermarkt.
His latest goal helped the Sky Blues beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 on New Year’s Day and extend their winning run to three games.
A statement on the League One club’s site confirmed that the Pompey academy graduate has penned a three-and-a-half year deal which takes him to the end of the 2021-22 season.
Following Coventry’s online announcement of Chaplin’s permanent acquisition, some Sky Blues fans took to Twitter and voiced their opinions on the move:
Prior to his stint at Coventry, Chaplin made 122 appearances for Portsmouth, scoring 25 goals and claiming seven assists (Transfermarkt).
The Sky Blues are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Scunthorpe United with a view to winning a fourth game on the trot.
