Thomas Christiansen is coming under increasing pressure as manager of Leeds United.

Leeds’ 4-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night was the club’s eighth loss in their last 10 matches in all competitions, leaving them in a lowly tenth place despite pre-season expectations of a promotion challenge.

The Whites had started the 2017-18 campaign in excellent fashion, challenging at the top of the Championship table for the automatic promotion places. But their recent form has made that feel like a distant memory.
Couzens replied to a fan on Twitter when asked if Christiansen should remain at Elland Road beyond the end of the calendar year, stating that “stability” is needed and “sacking managers” is not going to aid the club’s progression.
The Whites will be looking to put their uninspiring defeat to Wolves behind them on Saturday, as they play host to Yorkshire rivals Barnsley at Elland Road in a lunchtime kick-off.

Leeds have a disappointing record against Paul Heckingbottom side of late, winning just three of their last 12 encounters and losing six of those matches.
The job in hand will not be made any easier by Ronaldo Vieira’s suspension, as the midfield powerhouse was sent off against Wolves and is suspended for the local derby.
