Ross Barkley has told the Guardian that he is still two weeks away from full fitness at Aston Villa.
Barkley has made a big impact at Villa Park since arriving on loan from Chelsea, with his first two displays for the club extremely impressive.
The attacking midfielder has helped Villa to a 7-2 win over Liverpool and a 1-0 victory over Leicester City.
Barkley has scored on both his Villa outings so far, but he has actually been playing through the pain barrier.
The midfielder is still nursing a knee problem, which has caused him some issues.
And Barkley admits that it could still be a fortnight until he hits full fitness.

“It’s nothing too serious, a couple of weeks and it will be back to normal,” he said.
If Barkley’s game does go up another level after his knee issue has improved then that is a frightening prospect.
His partnership with Jack Grealish has already looked absolutely devastating, with the duo two of the most talented ball carriers in the Premier League.
And if Barkley can become even more effective then Villa will surely be a huge threat to every side across the division this term.
