Dean Jones told the Football Terrace that Fabio Paratici wanted Tottenham to go back for Paulo Fonseca only ‘a couple of days ago’.
Tottenham’s search for a new manager has become a farce and those in the boardroom are now entering dangerous territory.
Many names have come and gone during these past few months, including former Roma boss, Fonseca.
And whilst Spurs fans thought his name was out of the window when talks broke down between the Portuguese and Spurs a number of weeks ago.
Well, according to journalist, Dean Jones, he did ‘hear’ that Paratici tried to go back in for the 48-year-old.
“One of the things I did hear was that Paratici wanted to go back in for Fonseca,” said Jones.
“He thought that was the route they needed to go back down. That was a couple of days ago.”

When Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho, the first trophy of the 2020/21 season had yet to be won.
Yet, in a few weeks time, the European Championships will be won and those in North London might still be looking for a new face for their dugout.
Take your pick as to who it might be because, at this rate, nothing concrete is popping up.
From being in a Champions League final a number of seasons ago to struggling to find a manager as a Premier League club, this really has been one hell of a downfall from Spurs.
