Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that Manchester United ‘couldn’t have asked for a better time’ to play Liverpool, as he told Sky Sports.
Jurgen Klopp’s men lost top-spot in the Premier League table on Tuesday night after their rivals beat Burnley – Liverpool will now host them at Anfield at the weekend.
Liverpool could end up being six points behind the Old Trafford club with a defeat, so it’s a very important time in the season for the two.
Solskjaer wasn’t the only one sending Liverpool a title message because their rejuvenated £89m star [BBC Sport] Paul Pogba also shared his thoughts:
“Of course we know we’re going to the champions who have had an unbelievable three-and-a-half-seasons,” said Solskjaer. “We know it’s going to be a difficult game for us, but we are ready for it.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better time to play them because we are in good shape, good form and hungry, which is a good thing because these boys want to get better and that’s the test of their character and quality.”

Pogba scored a well-taken volley against Burnley, as his form has improved drastically in recent weeks, this is what he told BBC Sport:
“It will be a beautiful game for everyone,” said Pogba. “It’s a big game coming up so let’s get ready for it.
“We knew if we won tonight we would be top of the league when we play Liverpool. We have to keep calm, now it is the big moment. We will see what is going to happen.”

Manchester United’s forward line will be licking their lips at the thought of facing Liverpool’s struggling and makeshift defence.
The fact that they conceded against Aston Villa kids will keep those at Old Trafford smiling.
But it is a case of a Liverpool team, who have built an unbelievable home record during the past three seasons, coming up against a Manchester United side who have been deadly on the road for the past 12 months.
