Speaking on The Beautiful Game Podcast, Eddie Nketiah has named Santi Cazorla as the best player he’s ever played with.
The Spanish maestro didn’t play alongside Nketiah all that often. After all, the striker was just a teenager when the midfielder was in his pomp, but he could see in training just how talented the diminutive playmaker was.
Nketiah recalled Cazorla taking corners with both feet, stating that it was impossible to get the ball off of him.
What’s been said?
Nketiah discussed playing alongside Cazorla.
“Santi Cazorla man, he was a joke, his left foot, his right foot. He was little and stocky, but you couldn’t get the ball off of him. He’d do the set-pieces with his left foot and his right foot, I thought he was a joke man,” Nketiah said.

Pure class
Due to injuries, Santi Cazorla didn’t have the Premier League career he perhaps should have, but that doesn’t change just how good he was at his peak.
Cazorla was utterly mesmerising at his best, he could pass, shoot, dribble and tackle as well as any midfielder in the league, and the fact that he earned 81 Spain caps while competing for spots with the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and David Silva is a testament to his quality.
At the age of 37, Cazorla is still starring in Qatar, and to be honest, we’re pretty confident he could still do a job in the Premier League.
