PSG are yet to give up on the signing of Milan Skriniar despite Inter Milan stating the defender will remain in Italy this summer, with Tottenham also reportedly interested in the Slovakian international.
According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter, the French giants could test Inter’s stance on Skriniar, with previous reports suggesting that the Milan-based giants will only allow their star defender to sign for PSG if an offer of €80m (£68m) was to come in.
Skriniar’s current contract with Inter expires next summer and with little movement over an extension, a late bid this summer could force the Italian side into selling the 27-year-old centre-back, especially with PSG potentially eyeing a dramatic swoop for the former Sampdoria star.
PSG are not the only side interested in Skriniar, though, with Tottenham also being long-term admirers of the Slovakian defender, yet with just a few days of the window left to go and Antonio Conte’s side starting the new season in great fashion, a move for the Inter star seems unlikely.
Indeed, Skriniar and Conte struck up a great relationship in their title-winning season with Inter in 2021, yet despite two productive years together in Milan, PSG remain the strong favourites to sign the defender, with Christophe Galtier keen to strengthen his side’s centre-back options for the new season.
PSG should make late move to sign Skriniar from Milan giants

PSG have been chasing Skriniar for the majority of the summer with personal terms between the player and club being agreed from as far back as June, and with a few days remaining in the window, the French side should make a late move to sign the centre-back from Inter’s noses.
After all, PSG have been chasing a world-class defender all summer, and with Skriniar keen to move to France and Tottenham unlikely to move for the Inter star, the Ligue 1 side should go all out to sign the 27-year-old before the closure of the window, much to the annoyance of Tottenham.
