Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be interested in former Tottenham Hotspur target Amadou Diawara.

Wolverhampton Wanderers could be about to force Tottenham Hotspur’s hand in the race for Amadou Diawara.

TalkSPORT reported how Spurs made a £36 million bid for Diawara in the summer, which was turned down by Napoli.

But Wolves are said to be wanting to test the Italian side’s resolve by making an offer in January.

Calcio Napoli 24 claim that Diawara has emerged as one of Wolves’ top targets for the January transfer window.

And that could force Tottenham’s hand, as they race to sign a central midfielder.

If Mauricio Pochettino’s side do still want Diawara they are simply going to have to make a move sooner rather than later, otherwise they are gambling on missing out on yet another target.

And Wolves’ transfer plans could actually force Tottenham into taking action, following their failure to get even one signing over the line last summer.
