Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly wanted to sign Wilfried Zaha for a long time.

Ahead of every transfer window, it has become safe to assume that Tottenham will be linked with a potential move for Wilfried Zaha – and this summer is not going to be any different by the looks of things.
The Daily Mail reported last month that Spurs have wanted the Crystal Palace forward for a long time. And while the report added that the club feel that he is now out of their price range, it would be little surprise if that did not stop the speculation starting up again by the time the rumour mill gets into full swing.
For some, it may seem surprising that Mauricio Pochettino has never managed to land the Eagles talisman given how many times he has been linked with Tottenham.
It would arguably be fair to question whether Spurs have actually lost out by not signing Zaha. His record is impressive, but not outstanding, and at 26, there may be concerns about how much more improvement can be made to his game.

At this stage, it seems a fair bet to predict that Zaha will not secure a move to Tottenham during his career. But perhaps there is every chance that he could write his name into club history this Wednesday.
After a lengthy wait, Spurs’ first-team finally get the chance to play in their new stadium this week when Crystal Palace visit for a Premier League clash.
Pochettino’s men will be heavy favourites for the game, but perhaps there is an opportunity for Zaha to become the first player to score a league goal at Spurs’ new home and ensure that his name is somewhat synonymous with the stadium – regardless of whether he joins at some stage or not.
