West Ham United and Leicester City have been linked with Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts.

Patrick Roberts enjoyed quite a bit of success at Celtic from January 2016 until the end of the 2017-18 campaign, and it did not come as a surprise when reports emerged last month that West Ham United and Leicester City wanted to sign the Manchester City winger.
During his loan spells at Celtic, Roberts won the Scottish Premiership three times, and the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup twice each.

The 21-year-old’s performances for the Hoops were very encouraging, and The Express reported last month than Premier League duo West Ham and Leicester were looking to sign the former Fulham youngster on a permanent contract in the summer transfer window.
Roberts would be a brilliant signing for West Ham; his quality on the ball, ability to take on opposition players and passing range would make him a favourite among the London Stadium faithful.

However, Leicester could pip the Hammers to the signature of the City winger, according to a new report.
According to The Telegraph, the Foxes want Roberts – who earns £25,000 per week as salary, as reported by Spotrac.com – as part of a £60m deal which will see Riyad Mahrez join the Citizens.
It has been reported that City manager Pep Guardiola will allow Roberts to move to Leicester if he can complete a deal for winger Mahrez.
Given that a cash plus player deal would suit Leicester and City, West Ham may have lost out on the race for the former England Under-20 international.
