West Ham United have a fair bit of rebuilding to do this summer and could kill two birds with one stone in a swap deal with Swansea City.
Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson
Slaven Bilic has been linked with a move for Swans star Gylfi Sigurdsson – as reported by the likes of The Mirror – after being hugely impressed by the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder’s superb form for the relegation threatened side this season.
The Iceland hero has netted 10 goals and provided 11 assists despite playing in a Swansea side who look increasingly likely to drop down to the Championship.
Former Hammers boss Alan Pardew said Sigurdsson was the best number 10 outside of the top six clubs following another big performance and trademark free-kick against Manchester United last time out.
So there is likely to be no shortage of suitors should Sigurdsson be available this summer.
And the Hammers could have an advantage over other clubs should they offer Swansea a readymade replacement in the shape of £10 million flop Robert Snodgrass.
Sigurdsson
The Scotland international was enjoying a fine season with Hull City as he hit seven goals and provided a number of assists before being sold to the Hammers.

It has not happened for the former Leeds United and Norwich City midfielder in East London, though, and supporters are keen to see the club cut their losses on him.
The 29-year-old has failed miserably to replace Dimitri Payet.
But he knows his way around the Championship and could be the ideal replacement for Sigurdsson if the Swans are relegated as they look to bounce straight back to the top flight.
