Florinel Coman has been compared to PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe amid Premier League links with West Ham United and Manchester City.

It is always a good idea to take anything Gigi Becali says with a heart-stopping handful of salt. After all, this is an owner who makes Mike Ashley look like a saint and his tendency to spit out soundbites is legendary in his native Romania.
But, with young Florinel Coman emerging as one of the most exciting attacking talents in Eastern Europe right now, Becali’s rather brazen comments on a 21-year-old winger are worth considering.
Especially as the Mail claim that West Ham United and Manchester City are keeping close tabs on the Romanian international with the January transfer window now just two months away.
The legendary Gheorghe Hagi believes Coman is Romania’s answer to Kylian Mbappe (Sport.ro). But FCSB owner Becali says it is another Paris Saint Germain superstar who the jet-heeled youngster more closely resembles.
“If Florinel plays there is no way you can lose a match,” said the typically outspoken Becali, seemingly blind to the fact that the club formerly known as Steaua Bucharest have been beaten five times this season with Coman in the team, in quotes reported by Pro X.
“He is not Mbappe, he is Neymar.

“Coman will be a great, great footballer. He is 21 years old, he is a child, but for now he does everything he wants. I do not know how much I will sell him for, it can be 50, 80, 10, 20 million euros, I do not know.
“It depends on him.”
Given that clubs in the Premier League are starting to take an interest in a forward who has eight goals and five assists this season, Becali will surely be minded to put a few more million onto Coman’s price-tag with the winter window rolling round.
Yet if he possesses even half the skill of Neymar or Mbappe, he would represent a sound investment.
