West Ham United have been linked with a move for the MK Dons teenager.
According to the Mirror, West Ham United are interested in signing Dylan Asonganyi, so what could that mean for Hammers forward Toni Martinez?
Asonganyi is only 16 but he is making quite an impression with MK Dons’ under-18 side, scoring nine goals in seven matches at that level this season. As a result, a first-team promotion is being talked up, and if the Hammers make a move they are likely to give the youngster chances to prove his worth with their second string in the first instance.

That could have a direct impact on current under-23 forward Toni Martinez, who has made light work of that level and deserves a place in the first-team squad despite the presence of Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez.
Martinez signed for West Ham from Valencia and the Spaniard has been scoring for fun ever since, netting 18 times in just 20 appearances for the Hammers’ under-23s and also impressing during a loan stint at Oxford United.
The 20-year-old needs a chance to prove himself with West Ham’s first-team, and if they sign Asonganyi it could allow the teenager to be a regular starter for the second string while freeing Martinez to play a role from the bench and in the cups for the senior side.
It seems a win-win, assuming of course that West Ham can convince MK Dons to do a deal.
