Wolves have struck up ties with Benfica this summer, so could they be the next destination for Adel Taarabt?
Benfica
Since their takeover by Fosun International, Wolves have developed close ties with Benfica, aided by agent Jorge Mendes.
Helder Costa, Joao Teixeira and Ola John have all signed on loan with Luisao also linked, but could one controversial playmaker become a potential permanent signing at Molineux?
The name is familiar, former QPR ace Adel Taarabt, who yesterday spoke of his frustration at being stuck in the club’s B team.

He is reported by newspaper O Jogo to be fed up with a lack of chances and wants a move away, with one option being heading back to former club Lens in France.
ESPN report Taarabt is in negotiations with several clubs, one being Marseille.
Yet given his experience in England, and Wolves contacts with Benfica, it would not be a surprise to see Walter Zenga’s side make a move.

While his career highlight was a loan spell at AC Milan, Taarabt’s best spell came in the Championship with QPR in 2010/11 where he scored 19 goals in just one season to help the club win promotion.
A lack of focus and fitness issues have derailed his career since, but there is no denying the 27-year-old’s talent, and the no nonsense approach of Zenga could help get the best out of him.
Wolves may consider him not worth the hassle, but if they could get him motivated and back to his previous form, he could be a major asset, and the missing link in their promotion hunt.
