Having already secured the signing of one attacking player in Cenk Tosun, it appears that Everton are seeking further additions in that department.

Talented striker Tosun joined from Besiktas last week in a £27 million deal, as reported by The Mirror.

Meanwhile, as reported by The Sun, Everton are also seeking to bring in winger Theo Walcott, who has been on the periphery of proceedings for Arsenal this season.

Walcott may have performed inconsistently for Arsenal but if he did join Everton he would still be capable of making a significant contribution with his pace and directness.

Last season Walcott mustered 19 goals across all competitions and if he was playing regularly at Everton he could well start to find the net frequently again.

Although he is usually deployed as a winger, Walcott can also play up front, and the possibility of him playing alongside Tosun is rather intriguing, as the Turkish player’s strength and hold up play could get the best out of the Englishman.

Even if he was deployed on the right wing Walcott could still forge an effective combination with Tosun by making incisive runs and linking up with the forward.

Walcott is definitely a player that Everton should pursue and the possibility of him dovetailing with Tosun should convince The Toffees to get the deal done.
