Liverpool have shown interest in Kieran Tierney so could Celtic convince them to include Alberto Moreno in any potential deal?
Kieran Tierney celebrates scoring the first goal for Celtic
Reports from the Mirror claim that Liverpool have shown interest in Celtic’s Kieran Tierney to try and solve their problems at left-back.
The 20-year-old has been in impressive form for the Bhoys over the past 12 months, playing 40 matches in all competitions as they won the treble of Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.
This has sparked interest south of the border, with the Express reporting that Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the defender – who is valued at around £15m.
Yet if Brendan Rodgers does see Tierney leave Parkhead then perhaps he could use the deal to bring Alberto Moreno the other way from his former club.
Moreno was deemed not good enough by Reds manager Juergen Klopp in 2016/17, with James Milner filling in on the left side of defence because of Klopp’s uncertainty in the Spaniard.

Yet Rodgers is a known admirer as he was the one who brought the 24-year-old to Anfield from Sevilla in the summer of 2014 and made him an integral part of his plans.
According to Sky Sports the Merseysiders have already rejected an £11m bid from Napoli for Moreno, but with Tierney as part of the deal things could still swing Celtic’s way.
