Tottenham are reportedly interested in Hoffenheim starlet Nadiem Amiri, along with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly tracking Hoffenheim winger Nadiem Amiri but face huge competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window.

ESPN claim the Premier League title rivals have been alerted to the form of the 21-year-old in Germany’s top flight, after scoring four goals and laying on two assists in 21 games league and cup outings for Julian Nagelsmann’s side.

Although Pochettino is known for his faith in youth, which has seen the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Harry Kane shine since his arrival in north London as manager in 2014, he will struggle to attract Amiri to Tottenham.

The sheer stature of Manchester United and the likelihood of first-team football at Arsenal will come as tempting to Amiri, who has already earned 15 Germany Under-21 caps in his bright career.

Spurs should look for other ways in which they can tempt Hoffenheim into selling Amiri to Spurs, and Spurs only and that should convince Pochettino to get rid of French outcast Georges N’Koudou to land Amiri’s signature.

N’Koudou, 22, has failed to have the desired impact under Pochettino since signing for the club from Marseille in the summer of 2016, finally managing to score his first goal against APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League.

With Erik Lamela returning from injury, N’Koudou is way down the pecking order behind his Argentinian teammate as well as Moussa Sissoko, Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen.

Likely to be surplus to requirements in the view of Pochettino, N’Koudou should be thrown into the deal with the hope that Hoffenheim will take a fancy in landing the speed machine.

It could just do the trick in convincing the Bundesliga side to ignore interest from the Gunners and United and sell Amiri to Spurs.
