The Real Madrid ace refused to rule out a return to the Premier League.
Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail about his future in the game, and refused to rule out a return to England on day, leaving the door open to potentially rejoining Tottenham.
Bale, 29, left Spurs for Madrid in the summer of 2013, for a then world record fee of £85.3 million, and despite receiving criticism from some quarters, he has enjoyed a wonderfully successful career at the Santiago Bernabeu, chalking up 91 goals and 61 assists in 194 appearances in all competitions.
The Wales international also has four Champions League winner’s medals to his name.
Tottenham fans would surely love to see the Madrid star back in north London, and he refused to rule out returning to the Premier League one day, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail:
“You can say yes and no. You always want to come back and play in your home league and a part of you will always miss home.”
Bale is still under contract with Madrid until the summer of 2022, however, so it would take a rather extortionate amount of money to lure him back to north London.
