Could Tottenham Hotspur use Moussa Sissoko in bid to sign Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on the Crystal Palace winger.

According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer Moussa Sissoko to clubs this summer in potential part exchange deals.

Tottenham have around £200 million this summer, but Mauricio Pochettino is looking at ways to reduce costs.

And he feels that using players like Sissoko in part-exchange deals could be a good strategy.

Tottenham have a host of players on their wishlist, but Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is thought to be near the top of it.

And Spurs should now consider using Sissoko as part of a deal to bring in Zaha.

The French international midfielder may not quite be up to the requisite quality to represent Spurs, but at Palace he could be a star player.

Blessed with pace and power, Sissoko could play either out wide or centrally for Palace.

Of course, he wouldn’t be a direct replacement for Wilfried Zaha, but he could offer them quality.

Spurs would have to offer Palace money on top of Sissoko to land Zaha, but using the 28-year-old in any potential deal could swing the transfer in their favour.

And if Palace do have to sell Zaha this summer, then bringing in a player like Sissoko could help to soften the blow somewhat.
