Tottenham Hotspur should make a move for Patrick Roberts, who has impressed in Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Patrick Roberts is stalling over agreeing to move to Celtic on a permanent deal – and that could give Tottenham Hotspur a chance to sneak in.
Tottenham has become a home for England’s best young talent, and Roberts fits that description.
Although the 20-year-old has been unable to break into City’s star-studded attacking line-up, his loan spell at Celtic has proven him to be a special player.

And Tottenham could be the perfect place for Roberts to fulfil his potential.
Spurs have considerably improved the likes of Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Harry Kane in recent times – and Roberts could be another exciting prospect to add to their collection.
Of course, the youngster would be unlikely to be a regular starter at Spurs, as he would at Celtic, but Mauricio Pochettino has always shown great faith in youth.

And Roberts could be a potential match-winning option for Spurs off the substitutes’ bench, as he is a box of tricks.
City may not want to sell to a Premier League rival, but they do want Kyle Walker (The Daily Express), and if Spurs could ask for Roberts in return in that deal, Pep Guardiola is unlikely to stand in the youngster’s way.
