Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic reportedly want Rekeem Harper of West Bromwich Albion.

According to The Birmingham Mail, Rekeem Harper is close to committing his future to West Bromwich Albion, and that will come as a disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic.

Harper is out of contract at West Brom this summer, but the 19-year-old midfielder is reportedly edging closer to putting pen to paper on a new contract with the Baggies.

The youngster is claimed to have held talks with new West Brom manager Slaven Bilic, and the Championship club are increasingly optimistic that the teenager will stay at The Hawthorns beyond the summer.

This reported update regarding Harper will come as a disappointing news for Tottenham and Celtic, with the Premier League club and the Scottish Premiership outfit reported to be interested in securing the services of the England Under-19 international midfielder this summer.

London Football News recently reported that Tottenham have held talks with West Brom over the transfer of Harper, while The Daily Record claimed that the youngster’s move to Celtic was likely to go through.

However, it seems that Harper could well stay at West Brom beyond the summer transfer window.
