West Ham United have been linked to the reported Tottenham Hotspur target.

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly drop out of the race for Andre Gomes – and it could be a big boost for West Ham United.
West Ham seem to have joined the race for the Portugal international, who dazzled the Premier League during his season-long loan at Everton from Barcelona last term.
According to Sky Sports, the Irons have seen a £18 million bid rejected for the 25-year-old, who was heavily linked to Tottenham earlier in the month.
But it looks like Spurs are ‘cooling their interest’ [The Echo] and surely it gives the Hammers more chance of signing the Barca-owned midfielder, who earns £80,000 per week at Camp Nou [Total Sportek].
The Lilywhites, gearing up for a Champions League final, are one of Europe’s best teams and Gomes might’ve jumped at the chance to play under Mauricio Pochettino.
But if the North Londoners aren’t in the race then it gives other teams like West Ham and Everton a better chance – in theory at least.
Another European heavyweight, like Juventus or Bayern Munich, might come from nowhere to rival other sides for his signature, but until then, Tottenham’s withdrawal can only have positive implications for the East London side.
