Tottenham Hotspur named England under-17 World Cup winner Timothy Eyoma on the bench at the weekend.
The youngster known as TJ was an unused substitute as Spurs beat Burnley 1-0.
Now with a Carabao Cup clash in midweek, Eyoma could come into contention if Mauricio Pochettino rotates his side with a Premier League clash with Everton on the horizon.
Eyoma is currently Pochettino’s fourth choice centre-back option, with Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier injured and Cameron Carter-Vickers out on loan.
It would be a big ask for Eyoma to feature against Arsenal, but it is certainly a possibility.
Spurs have a lack of numbers in midfield due to injuries and could elect to move Juan Foyth into a defensive midfield role.
This could open up an opportunity for Eyoma to fill in at centre-back and show what he is capable of.
Eyoma, 18, has been a regular for Tottenham’s under-23s this season and played every minute of Tottenham’s UEFA Youth League campaign.
He started off as a right-back but has developed as a centre-back and that is where he has been playing this season.
Eyoma is now part of England’s under-19 squad and appears to have a very bright future.
Pochettino showed his faith in him at the weekend by calling him up, and he could quickly advance into making his debut over the next fortnight.
