West Ham United have been linked with the Arsenal striker but they are not the only club interested.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud is being tracked by Lyon and Marseille, so what could that mean for alleged suitors West Ham United?
A recent report from the Sun suggested the Hammers were ready to offer the Frenchman £130,000 a week in an effort to tempt him to the London Stadium this summer. The problem is, with clubs from his homeland interested, the 30-year-old could have a tough decision to make if he is deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates.

Much will depend on who Arsenal bring in this summer. But West Ham fans will be desperate to actually seal the signing of one of the many forwards they continue to be linked with.
The lure of home could ultimately sway Giroud’s decision. However West Ham must do everything in their power to convince him to remain in England and prove the Gunners wrong.
For now there are a lot of hypotheticals. And yet there is the very real chance that West Ham could be heading towards the new campaign having generated plenty of column inches in the rumour mill but without turning any of those stories into facts.
The Hammers simply cannot afford to have another poor transfer window.
Having already missed out on Henry Onyekuru, Slaven Bilic needs to get it right rather than being left with the dregs as deadline day approaches.
There is still plenty of time to pull off some brilliant deals. One just worries that with Giroud now attracting interest from two of France’s biggest clubs, could he be another striker set to slip through West Ham’s grasp?
