The Rangers winger made his Ibrox breakthrough at the start of last season, but has been used sparingly by Steven Gerrard in 2019.

Might another young Rangers player head to England’s third tier this summer?
The Daily Mail claims Rangers could allow the Ibrox winger, Glenn Middleton, to leave on loan.
Meanwhile, a Doncaster side managed by a Rangers fan in Grant McCann are in pursuing a new wide player.
And McCann told the Doncaster Free Press this weekend that he has already met with one who is ‘very direct, very aggressive, and got some really good experience of some top, top football this year – even in the Europa League’.
There can’t be too many of those about, not least ones who would be willing to discuss joining a League One club.

And none of the, shall we say, lesser established players who appeared for the three English sides in last season’s competition (Chelsea, Arsenal or Burnley) appear to tick the box of being ‘direct, aggressive’ wingers. We’ve checked.
That suggests it’s either someone overseas or in Scotland – and we doubt that Doncaster’s budget is one that caters for too many scouting trips abroad.

Middleton, who appeared in all six of Rangers’ group stage games last season, seems to fit the bill.
Doncaster or other? Where should Rangers send Middleton next season?
