Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the new investment from the San Francisco 49ers.

Leeds have announced on their official website today that the 49ers have decided to make new investment in the club.

The 49ers Enterprises purchased 15% of the West Yorkshire club from chairman Andrea Radrizzani in 2018.

As part of the new investment, Paraag Marathe, 49ers Enterprises President and current LUFC Board Member, will become the vice-chairman of the Premier League club.

“Leeds United Football Club and the San Francisco 49ers – led by Chairman Andrea Radrizzani and CEO Jed York, respectively – are pleased to announce a new investment by an entity affiliated with the 49ers, bringing the total minority ownership stake in Leeds United managed by 49ers Enterprises to 37%,” reads the statement on Leeds’s official website.

“This new investment also sees Paraag Marathe, 49ers Enterprises President and current LUFC Board Member, become the Vice Chairman of Leeds United.”

Some Leeds fans have given their take on the news, and below are some of the best comments on Twitter.

Exciting times at Leeds United

Leeds are not exactly in great form on the pitch, but overall, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are doing extremely well.

The Whites are playing wonderful football and do not appear to be in any danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

The new investment is very encouraging for Leeds, who will hope to go bigger and better in the coming months and years, as they re-establish themselves in the Premier League.
