Sunderland midfielder Wahbi Khazri is reportedly wanted by AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

As things stand, Wahbi Khazri is a Sunderland player, meaning that he will be playing in League One next season.
However, it is unlikely that the Tunisia international will be turning out in the third tier of English football during the 2018-19 campaign.

Khazri, though, could be playing in the Champions League next season, as Italian club AS Roma are reported to be interested in him.
According to The Chronicle, Roma are among a number of clubs interested in securing the services of the Tunisia international in the summer transfer window.
Eusebio Di Francesco’s side finished third in Serie A ring the 2017-18 season and have earned an automatic spot in the Champions League group stage for the 2018-19 campaign.

Of course, it will depend whether Roma offer enough for Sunderland and Khazri is happy with his wages, but it is remarkable to think that he could be playing in the Champions League next season.
There is no doubt over the quality of the midfielder, who cost Sunderland £9 million in transfer fee when they signed him from Bordeaux in January 2016, according to The Chronicle.
