How’s he been doing?
In a mediocre season for Derby, Ince was the Rams’ standout performer, scoring 14 times in 45 Championship outings – his second best goalscoring campaign. He’s also created eight for his teammates.
Do Wednesday still need him?
The Owls’ squad is in need of less work than it was a year ago and you sense that a couple of game-changing recruits could help them to achieve their aims. With Callum McManaman and Will Buckley expected to return to their parent clubs this summer, a winger could feature prominently in the Yorkshire side’s plans. Ross Wallace’s absences have been felt this season, while Adam Reach has struggled to convince.

What are their chances of doing a deal?
Derby are reportedly ready to sell in order to raise funds, albeit at more than £10 million. Under normal circumstances, Wednesday would probably be tempted, but with a similar amount due Middlesbrough’s way for Jordan Rhodes this summer, the Owls may have to think twice. With several out of contract and other deadwood still to be shifted, there may be some room for manoeuvre if the Rams are willing to lower their asking price. Premier League Newcastle United have also been linked, which could be a problem.
