West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice still has not sorted out his contract, and he would be a smart signing for Everton.

Everton defender Seamus Coleman has told Football.London how he is advising West Ham United’s Declan Rice over his international future, and Marco Silva may be hoping that the right-back can persuade the youngster that a move to Goodison Park could be good too.

Rice’s future at West Ham is currently up in the air, as his contract is due to expire in the summer.

West Ham have still not agreed new terms with the 19-year-old, who has emerged as an excellent prospect.

And if Coleman could persuade Rice to move to Everton, then he would be doing the Toffees a big favour.

If Rice does leave West Ham he is sure to have plenty of interest in his services.

To snatch a player of his quality and age on a free transfer is a wonderful opportunity for any Premier League side.

But with Rice looking up to Coleman, Everton may just have an advantage in the chase.

And Silva may be wise to see if Coleman can convince Rice that a move to Goodison Park would be beneficial for his career.
