Sandro Ramirez has struggled ever since signing for Everton in the summer transfer window.

Sandro may be about to be handed his golden opportunity at Everton, with Oumar Niasse out for two matches.

Niasse has been banned for two matches for “successful deception of a match official” in Everton’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend.

The Toffees will appeal against the suspension, but if they are unsuccessful it will force David Unsworth into making a decision.

Everton have looked short up-front all season, but Niasse’s emergence has been a major positive.

Without the Senegalese front man, the Toffees will have to look elsewhere, and it could be that Sandro is the best alternative option.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been offered plenty of chances this term, and he has shown flashes of quality, but the youngster still has work to do before he becomes a prolific scorer at Goodison Park.

Sandro has also looked short of quality since moving to Everton, but he has previously proven he can score goals in top flight football – during his time with Malaga in La Liga.

And Niasse’s absence may give Sandro a chance to prove that Everton were right to bring him to Merseyside last summer after all.
