Everton have been linked with Aaron Cresswell of West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Leighton Baines may still be going strong at the age of 33, but Everton need to find a long-term replacement for the left-back, and it seems that the Toffees have already started doing so.
According to a report in The Sun this month, Everton want to make a bid of £25 million for West Ham United left-back Aaron Cresswell in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old may not exactly be having a great season at the moment, but the England international is a proven left-back in the Premier League and has already worked with Sam Allardyce at West Ham.

Cresswell would be a good long-term successor to Baines, has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Wigan Athletic for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £5 million and earns £70,000 per week as salary at the Toffees, according to The Daily Star.
In fact, it was former Newcastle United manager Allardyce who signed Cresswell for West Ham from Ipswich Town back in the summer of 2014.

In July 2016, the former Tranmere Rovers left-back spoke highly of the ex-Sunderland boss and underlined his role in his improvement.
Cresswell told The Guardian in July 2016 about Allardyce: “I’ve a lot to credit him for. He brought me to the club and I can’t speak any more highly of the year I worked under him.
“He was fantastic with me personally and, if you ask any of the other boys, they’ll say the same thing.”
If Everton are able to strike a deal with West Ham over Cresswell, then it would not be hard of the Toffees to convince the 28-year-old left-back to make the switch to Goodison Park, as long as Allardyce is the manager of the Merseyside outfit next season.
