Danny Rose’s form at left-back for Tottenham Hotspur has not been impressive this season.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino may well have to change his plan for Ryan Sessegnon already, with Danny Rose’s struggles continuing.
But time is no longer on Tottenham’s side, as Rose has been so poor in the opening weeks of the season.
Rose has badly struggled, and although Ben Davies is solid cover, he isn’t good enough to be a permanent starter for a Tottenham side have expressed ambitions to challenge for both the Premier League and Champions League.
It could be that Sessegnon is now forced to come into Tottenham’s team and play as a left-back from the off, as soon as he returns from injury.
Rose has been so wasteful in attacking areas for Spurs this term, and his defensive work has also been poor.
Sessegnon, who broke through for Fulham as a free-scoring winger, would surely offer Tottenham an improved end product over Rose in the final third.
The question mark over the new Spurs signing lies in his defensive ability, but with Rose partly at fault for numerous goals that Pochettino’s side have conceded already this season, he also isn’t looking particularly solid.

Rose, of course, could improve his form and if that is to be the case then he remains one of the finest left-backs in the Premier League.
But the England international has not shown any signs of getting back to his best so far this term.
And although Pochettino wanted to keep Sessegnon in reserve while he learnt the ropes, circumstances may dictate that the youngster has to be thrown in at the deep end, if Rose’s continues to put in below par performances.
