Tottenham Hotspur take on the Championship side later this month and it would be the perfect opportunity to test the teenage defender.

With the Sun reporting that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose could miss the next four weeks with an ankle injury, Ben Davies looks set to replace him in the starting XI for the upcoming Premier League and Europa League matches.

However, assuming the England international is side-lined for all of February the FA Cup fifth round clash against Fulham could see another Spurs teenager make his debut in the form of Kyle Walker-Peters.

The 19-year-old has been an unused substitute in the previous two rounds and while he is better known as a right-back, he is more than capable of doing a job on the opposite flank.

This season, Walker-Peters has played four of his six UEFA Youth League matches for Spurs as a left-back, and although he is very much a right-back for Tottenham’s under-23s it could be on the opposite flank where he initially breaks through.

Given the presence of Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier, Walker-Peters could see the prolonged absence of Rose as his best chance of a first-team debut this season, and what better time to play than against lower league opposition in the FA Cup?

Other Tottenham teenagers have been given that chance and as one of their most highly-rated, it is time Walker-Peters is afforded the same opportunity.
