Newcastle United have reportedly made an ambitious move for Lucas Vazquez, but it may be dependent on Real Madrid’s own incoming business.
The spending in this summer’s transfer window looks set to really take off, with Neymar set to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain and L’Equipe reporting the Spanish club could look to Kylian Mbappe as a replacement.
Those two mammoth deals would have a huge knock-on effect on business elswhere and, surprisingly, it could even affect Newcastle United’s ambitious moves.

AS have reported Newcastle’s interest in Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez and, a two-time Champions League winner, he would represent a real coup for Rafa Benitez.
Of course, a deal for such a notable player would never be easy, but it could become more difficult still if Mbappe were to move to Barca.
Don Balon had earlier reported that Vazquez’s departure from Madrid would depend on Mbappe arriving at the club – and Zinedine Zidane could look to keep the Spain international if he cannot get his man from Monaco.
Newcastle have plenty of wide options as it is anyway, but there would be some disappointment if an optimistic approach for a top winger fell flat on its face.
Madrid will, of course, still hope to challenge for Mbappe – even if Barca are boosted by a world-record fee for Neymar, as reported by the BBC – and Benitez may well hold a keen interest in the developing situation.
