The former Juventus striker has managed just two goals in 26 appearances and it should convince Pochettino to look elsewhere for a Spurs talisman to fire them into the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
If he does indeed look for new inspiration, surely his next option is 17-year-old sensation Reo Griffiths after the teenager scored a hat-trick against Reading on Saturday – just a week after doing the same against Arsenal in the Cup.

Griffiths form has even attracted the interest of German side RB Leipzig, according to ESPN, so surely Griffiths is more than deserving of a chance in the first team. Wednesday’s clash against Rochdale is the perfect opportunity.
Giving Spurs’ number 66 a chance to shine could be the raw, attacking tenacity that Pochettino needs to boost his side’s trophy hunt. He could be another name to add to a list that already boasts the likes of Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli,
