West Brom fans on Twitter lauded their former academy product Louie Barry after the Aston Villa striker scored in the FA Cup on Friday.
It was an evening to remember for the highly-rated teenager, who along with a host of Aston Villa youngsters, competed against the champions of England.
To be in a situation where the Villa kids provided Liverpool with the scare of their life is something to be commended because aside from a six or seven-minute flurry from Liverpool, it was a competitive game.
Nonetheless, West Brom fans, who saw Barry coming through their ranks before his move to Barcelona which then led him to B6, commented on his efforts from Friday.
A lot was made of Barry moving to the Nou Camp from West Brom for very little money, as the Albion supporters now see him trying to make a name for himself at their rivals.
There is still a long way to go for the highly-rated hitman, but he has shown that against some of the best, he can showcase his talents.
It’s now a case of continuing that rise.
