The veteran striker has not been offered a new contract at Rangers despite his impressive form this season.

It’s hardly uncommon for a player to return home for the final comfortable days of his playing career, a prodigal son hoping for one last swansong. And, according to The Express, Kenny Miller could return to Hibernian this summer – 17 years after leaving Easter Road for Ibrox.
Yet, the evergreen striker continues to defy the laws of time. He may be 37 these days but, if his performances in Rangers colours this season are anything to go by, he’s got another few years left in the tank at the top of the Scottish game.
In fact, without his club-high six goals, not to mention his wily movement and superb link-play, the gap between Rangers in third and St Johnstone in fifth may not be so pronounced. It’s not too much of a stretch to call the veteran striker a talismanic figure.
Yet, Miller played just 53 times for his first club from 1998 to 2000, winning the league’s Young Player of the Year award in his second season, so you can’t begrudge him feeling sentimental in his late professional life.
And, after all, he’s still out of contract at the end of the season despite most Rangers supporters becoming increasingly vocal in their demand to see him stay.

However, while the club don’t seem to be valuing his impact at the moment, he could find a long-term admirer in Neil Lennon at second division Hibs.
“He has scored 22 goals, so I’m glad to see the back of him really,” said Lennon of Miller after he left Rangers for Bursaspor in 2011, as reported by the BBC.

You get the feeling he’d be quite pleased to see him return, too.
