Belgian outlet HLN report Rangers sent scouts to watch Anderlecht at the weekend.
The outlet named Albert Sambi Lokonga and Yari Verschaeren as possible targets for Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
But it could be Kemar Roofe who is of the most interest to the Ibrox side?
Roofe left Leeds United for Anderlecht in the summer for £7 million, being tempted to join the club by Vincent Kompany.
Kompany was fired before Roofe could even start a league game.
Now he has bounced back from injury, Roofe has scored five goals in seven appearances, including one at the weekend in the 2-1 win over Zulte-Waregem in front of Rangers’ scouts.
Roofe, 26, was linked to Rangers while at Leeds, before moving to Anderlecht.
The Scottish Sun reported back in the summer that Rangers were keen to sign Roofe while he was at Leeds.
But they were only said to be interested as a replacement for Alfredo Morelos, who remains at the club.
Morelos still seems set to stay, but there is likely to be big interest in the Colombian forward over the next two transfer windows after his prolific form this season.
If Rangers were backed into a sale, then Roofe would be a sensible and attainable replacement.
His form will not have gone unnoticed by Rangers’ scouts, and their presence at Anderlecht’s shows he might remain on their radar.
