Glasgow Rangers have a cup clash with Partick Thistle this week.
Rangers have only just played Partick Thistle but the two clubs go head-to-head again on Tuesday evening, this time in the Scottish League Cup, and Gers boss Pedro Caixinha could make a few changes to his starting XI.
With veteran forward Kenny Miller set to be rested, Rangers have a spot available for another player to make his mark, with Eduardo Herrera the likely candidate to step in. But could Caixinha give another winger a chance, possibly as a second-half substitute, in the form of Aaron Nemane?
The 19-year-old arrived at Ibrox on loan from Manchester City earlier this summer and so far he has managed just four minutes of action against Dundee at the start of the month.
A highly rated right winger with skill in abundance, it seems too soon for Nemane to start a Rangers match, even in a changed line-up, but if things go according to plan for Caixinha’s men a longer cameo is not beyond the realms of possibility.
Fellow new recruit Dalcio looks completely off the pace and has quickly faded into obscurity, so Nemane could see this as the ideal chance to stake a claim as a creative catalyst off the bench.
If Rangers can afford to make changes after the break or if they are in need of a spark, Nemane could be the answer, with the City youngster deserving more than a few minutes to make his mark.
Caixinha knows best, but Rangers fans may be hoping to see a little more of their diminutive loanee.
