Could Rangers have a one week deadline to appoint new boss at Ibrox?

Rangers hold the club’s AGM next week, which could hasten their desire to bring a new manager in at Ibrox.

Glasgow Rangers have made clear they are in no rush to appoint a successor to Pedro Caixinha, a stance which has tested the patience of the club’s loyal fans.

It is approaching December and supporters are hoping to see a new face in the Ibrox dugout soon, with Caixinha fired in late October.

The club’s activity may just be hastened by the date of the club’s Annual General Meeting next Thursday (30/11).

If Rangers are still manager-less, the board’s snail-paced activity will be one of the central points of discussion.

Fans will demand answers as to why the club have not yet appointed a new manager, and seek clarification on exactly what has been done so far, and what the plan is going forward.

It has a chance of being a very tense occasion, and with Rangers in fourth place, nine points behind leaders Celtic, this is no time for back-slapping at celebration.

Now if Rangers can pull their finger out and appoint a new manager, the AGM will be an altogether more positive occasion.

While there will still be points of complaint, having a new boss in charge will demonstrate to their most vocal supporters that there is a direction at the club, which at present they seem to lack.

Time is ticking down, but if the Rangers board want to make the AGM a slightly less frayed situation, it is in their interests to get their appointment made as soon as possible.
