Sheffield United have made an offer for the Ipswich Town striker.

Sheffield United fans may be interested in imminent events at Ipswich Town.
Speaking to the Star this weekend, United boss Chris Wilder confirmed his side have bid for Ipswich striker Martyn Waghorn, but insisted his side will not be meeting Town’s alleged £8-10 million asking price.
According to Wilder, Ipswich are yet to respond to the Blades’ offer, which is rumoured to be worth a club-record £5 million.
However, they may be more inclined to accept it – or at least begin to negotiate with United – if a deal for Bristol Rovers’ Ellis Harrison goes ahead.

HITC Sport understands Harrison is undergoing a medical at Portman Road after Rovers accepted a £750,000 bid from Ipswich.
The Welshman scored 14 goals for the Gas last season, and his arrival would soften the blow of losing Waghorn, whose valuation will only decrease as he nears the end of his contract next summer and who, according to the Star, has his heart set on a move to Sheffield United.
Will Sheffield United get their man?
